Don't fret if you're new to IRC! Below is a link that will take you to an in-browser IRC client, and all you have to do is enter a nickname and hit connect! Use your forum name as your IRC name so people know who you are.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rules:
-First and foremost, respect other users.
-No flaming, harassment, or anything of that nature.
-Keep language PG, we have young users on this forum.
-No links to anything you wouldn't want your grandmother to see! Youtube links are ok, but please, no pornography or offensive material of any sort.
-Please...Don't ask to be a mod. Mods will be appointed accordingly.
-Don't "troll." Teasing and joking around in good fun is perfectly fine, when a user starts to get mad, it is enough.
Lastly, and the most important rule...
-Users found not having a good time...WILL BE PERMA-BANNED!!!
Just Kidding.
Consequences of rules being broken will be determined in a case-by-case fashion.
Getting Started:
Once you have read this post and click the link to take you to Mibbit's in-browser client, you should register your nickname with IRC. This is a simple task, and requires nothing but an E-mail account. Keep in mind, this isn't required to chat, but it is required if you want to be added to the list for auto-voice or auto-op (more about this in channel, ask for details).
To Register:
Once you have joined via the link below, type in the chat bar:
- Code: Select all
/ns register [your pass] [your email]
Of course, you don't type "[your pass]" or "[your email]", you put in you desired password and the E-mail you use most frequently.
TIP
Register in the "Coldfront" tab...If you do it in the channel and put a "." before the "/" on accident...Everyone will see your password. I know this from experience.
Coldfront will prompt you form there. Should you have trouble, ask me in the channel and I will assist you.
