"You are allowed to submit solves with more badges ONLY IF the solve with more badges has a greater number of pieces as the solve with fewer badges." Example:
:solved: :magless: :handsoff: :green: 3 pieces
:solved: :magless: :handsoff: 5 pieces
Is this a valid submission? My last question.

No, using more pieces and accomplishing less is no accomplishment at all.

Example-
If you use 11 pieces, you need to have more badges than a 3 piece solve.

:solved: :green: :brown: :handsoff: :magless: - 5 badges / 1 piece
:solved: :green: :boomerang: :brown: :handsoff: :magless: - 6 badges / 2 pieces
:solved: :green: :boomerang: :brown: :sweep: :handsoff: :water: :magless: - 8 badges / 3 pieces
:solved: :green: :champion: :clean: :brown: :sweep: :handsoff: :water: :magless: - 9 badges / 11 pieces

Keep asking questions. Its no problem..

Is it permissible to have a gap in the number of badges. For example:

5b, 8p
8b, 19p

with no 6 and 7 badge submittal?

I have high school exams soon, so I'm not sure if I can take part in the following rounds, but I have done the qualifier. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to make 10 badges mayhem, but I've already submitted all other numbers of badges.

Luck for all and thanks for hosting id36.

I just want to point out, if you can get all badges with 1 piece, there is no reason for any more submissions. Its like the Royal Flush of FC2

If for example, you submit a 2 piece 10 badge solve, the only submissions left that you can submit, would be 1 piece solves with 1 badge thru 10 badges. If you did submit the 1 peice 10 badge, that would replace the 2 piece 10 badge and be your only submission. Sure it doesnt sound like many points but only people with the 1 piece 10 badge solve would get points. People with more pieces or less badges get nothing..

Remember, you are trying to get better piece to badge count compared to the other competitors. Your not just trying to add up points. You dont get points unless your piece count is lower and badge count is higher than all other competitors. Your 4 piece solve has to have more badges than anybody else with a 4 piece solve to get the points for that solve. Even then, if someone with 3 piece solve has more badges than your 4 piece, then your 4 piece will not get any points.

Let me know if I am wrong..

Quick example-

If you have these solves and they are the best you can do for the piece count-
:solved: :green: :handsoff: :magless: :water: :brown: :champion: :boomerang: - 1 piece 8 badge
:solved: :green: :handsoff: :magless: :water: :brown: :champion: :boomerang: :clean: - 2 piece 9 badge
:solved: :green: :handsoff: :magless: :water: :brown: :champion: :boomerang: :clean: :sweep: 3 piece 10 badge

than you are done - you dont need solves for 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 badges because the current solves inlude them. All you should concentrate on now, is to improve the badge count on the 1 and 2 piece solves.

Well, wouldn't any lower badges count would be valid? Like a 1 pieces 5-6-7-8 or 9 Badges?

Oh man, yes, in that example you would be right. But you can only have one 1piece submission, the one with the highest badge count..

I will correct it right away.. thanks

Sorry for the lack of updates, guys. On Sunday, I got really drunk and now my landlord is throwing me out, so I've been looking for a new apartment. I have been getting your messages and will update as soon as I can. And thanks to those who have helped explain the rules. They're not so easy to explain.

OK. The leaderboard has finally been updated. The top 4 players have achieved one or more optimal records. The other 8 players have not achieved an optimal record. I have ranked them in order of badges achieved per piece. If you achieved 4 badges in 5 pieces (0.8 badges/piece), you will rank higher than someone who achieved 8 badges in 20 pieces (0.4 badges/piece). This adds a little risk to the game when submitting for higher badge counts, which use more pieces. But I think this is a good thing since it may deter players from piece spamming for 10 badges.
