LKJ's Paradoxical Competition

Postby lkjsafdhg » Wed Mar 14, 2012 6:01 pm

Welcome to my Paradoxical Competition. Firstly, I would like to say that it is important for you to read this entire paragraph before entering this competition because some parts of this competition are the opposite of the normal (as the title suggests). For example, in this competition there will never be any required badges; instead, in each round there will be a badge(s) that you will be required not to receive. Also, there will be no leader-board, but there will be an elimination-board. The elimination-board will include all the competitors that have submitted a solution, and these competitors will be divided into two groups: the people that will lose a life(s) (under the elimination-line) and those that will not (above the elimination-line). I will tell you the number of people that will lose a life(s) at the beginning of each round along with other important information. For every round, the scoring is piece-count and the tie-breaker is tick-count. Every competitor will receive 3 initial lives. You lose 1 life if you are below the elimination-line for any round, and you lose an additional 2
if you are below the elimination-line for any two consecutive rounds. Once you have 0 lives you are out the competition. Submit your submissions to me HERE, and multiple submissions are allowed. If you have any questions or comments, post them here or PM me. In this competition there are rules (listed below). If you break a rule your submission my be invalid or you will be disqualified. Everyone is welcome and is ecouraged to join. Good luck :) .

Rules:
- No glitches (this includes joint-breaking and phasing).
- Submit your final solution before the deadline.
- Keep your solutions unpublished until the round is over.
- No sharing solutions or talking about the specifics of how to solve a round.

That means that if I'm below the elimination lines 2 times in a row I'm dead :?

In my past comps, i have given a life to the player that has the best score for the qualifier, but i have decided not to do that this time because it is like taking 1 life away from every single other player. But i still want to do something to encourage people to try their best on the qualifer, so whoever gets the best score for the qalifier will get a virtual rabit's foot and will therefore get virtual good luck ;)

Also, i would like to say that the elimination board will ONLY separate the people that will lose lives from the people that will not. Once everyone is separated into these groups, they are organized by alphabetacal order, not by best score.

Well, if you are looking for something to do, try solving the qualifier with :brown: . I would be a fun challenge for you and anyone else that want to give it a try.
